Chapakhowa is a Town in Sadiya Sub- Division in Tinsukia District of Assam, India. It is located 72 KM towards North from the District Headquarters Tinsukia and 562 KM from State Capital Dispur. The name Chapakhowa came from the Deori word Sepa haba meaning Owtenga khowa in Assamese.

Chapakhowa is a plain land. In terms of area it is 5 sq km. NH 115 crosses through the middle of the town. In the east there is river Kundil and river Jiya.

The Chapakhowa Town Census Town has population of 10,305 of which 5,327 are males while 4,978 are females as per report released by Census India 2011. Population of Children with age of 0-6 is 1117 which is 10.84 % of total population of Chapakhowa Town (CT)
